At Beck's, we specialise in providing heavy vehicle licence upgrades for ACT & NSW licence holders. We provide our clients with quality training to both those who are starting out and those who are looking to up skill to help develop their career. Providing trainers who have real industry experience and knowledge, helping support the future of the transport industry. Beck's Transport Training offers licence upgrades under the state required standards as well as accredited courses of that are offered on behalf of Raise Training, RTO provider 91655.
Becks opened in October 2019 and became a company in February of 2020 and is locally owned and operated family business.
In 2021, Beck's started working with local mental health and wellbeing foundation, Health In Gear, as an ambassador helping provide information about support systems that are available to our industry and their families and help raise the awareness of how mental health and wellbeing impacts on the transport industry workers and their families. Today, we continue to support the need for services and recognition of the impact on the mental and physical health of those in work the transport industry and their families.
In 2023, Becks have continued to grow their advocating to local government as well as membership associations to help raise the recognition of the industry that is in Canberra and the need to support those who are impacted in Canberra. In particular, raising the awareness of the importance of the standard of trainers and assessor providing heavy vehicle licensing, updating standards of heavy vehicle information provided to the ACT Transport industry and raising the need for better support for the local transport industry.
In 2024, Beck's expanded its service offerings to the Transport Industry by offering auditing and compliance services under NHVL.

Anthony Beck - Director Training & Compliance
Anthony has worked within the transport industry for over 20 years as a driver, with a working history with local Canberra companies as a heavy vehicle driver working on civil sites, fuel haulage and experience in the bus and coach industry. He is also an active member of the local ACT Rural Fire Service and has been for over 15 years. In 2018, Anthony became a heavy vehicle trainer and has been working as a trainer since. He has recently branched out his skills into audit and compliance for the transport industry.
Anthony is an accredited trainer and assessor in both the ACT and NSW for heavy vehicle licence upgrades from LR to MC. Through our RTO partner, RAISE Training RTO Provider 91655, Anthony can also offer accredited heavy vehicle training, load restraint course as well as high risk licences and BFM training on behalf of Raise Training.
Anthony also conducts verification of competencies for plant equipment as well as heavy vehicle drivers, which is an added peace of mind for clients who have recently recruited new staff or who wanting to identify areas of training and compliance for current staff.
Anthony is an accredited NHVAS auditor with NHVR for Mass, Maintenance and Fatigue.
Kate Beck - Director, Sales & Government Advocacy
Kate is the Director of Becks and runs the day-to-day operations of Becks including sales, bookings and client management. Kate has previously worked in sales and administration in a variety of industries, which have included the recruitment industry, building & construction industry and IT industry.
Since 2021, Kate has worked to understand the impact of the mental and physical health impacts in the transport industry and have worked alongside Health In Gear as an ambassador, helping provide information about the support systems that are available to the transport industry workers and their families.
Kate has also been working to advocate for more support and recognition for the Canberra transport industry with local government as well as membership associations to raise the recognition of the industry that is in Canberra and the need to support those who are impacted.
In particular, Kate has been focused on the standard of the training and assessment that is offered to heavy vehicle licence holders. This has included raising the awareness on the dangers of lack of quality training and assessment as well as the importance of a quality verification of competency.

MR Manual
Available for training and driver hire. Our MR vehicle comes with a manual gearbox.
Beck's have the ability to conduct training in a client provided vehicle or arrange for an auto gear boxed vehicle to be available for licence upgrades.
HR/HC/MC Synchro/Auto Gearbox
Available for training and driver hire. Our Scania vehicle comes with a split gearbox with the option of conducting upgrades as a Synchro or Auto gearbox providing clients with a B Condition licence.
Also available is our Isuzu synchro gearbox vehicle.
Beck's have the ability to conduct training in a client provided vehicle.
HR/HC/MC Non Syncrho/Crashbox Gearbox
Beck's has access to crashbox vehicles as required pending on the client's requirements.
