Enrolment:
Clients, students or organisations who wish to book in a licence upgrade are required to send their licence, knowledge test or logbook details to secure a booking with Beck’s Transport Training. A date can be held for up to 24 hours for a potential booking. If the above details have not been sent through in that time, the date is back released to being available for other bookings.
Student’s will be sent a booking confirmation that outlines the start times and locations of their training. The booking confirmation will also outline the requirements of the student on the day of their training the requirements for Covid-19. At this time, an invoice will also be sent.
By receiving a booking confirmation email from Beck's Transport Training, student's are liable to the terms and conditions as outlined in this document.
Covid-19 Requirements for Enrolment:
As a small family business, we do request that students are aware if they have been in contact with someone who is unwell and to contact us to reschedule training.
We will also be encouraging you to use hand sanitiser when you exit and return to the vehicle. We ask students to respect that we are a small family-owned business and want to help protect our family as best as possible.
Quotation:
Prices are current at the time of quotation and subject to availability at the time of booking. All quoted prices includes GST. Beck’s Transport Training reserves the right to pass on, without notice, any increases that may occur.
Cancellation of training:
Where cancellation rather than amendment is requested by you, the following fees and charges apply:
* Cancellation of the course by you, within 7 working days prior to commencement is
subject to a full refund less a booking fee of 25% of the total course invoice.
* Cancellation of the course by you, within 5 working days prior to commencement will be subject to a refund of 50% of the total course cost.
* Cancellation of the course by you, within 48 working hours of commencement will not be eligible for any refund. Please note, our working hours for our office is Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm and our training hours are Monday to Saturday 7:00am to 4:00pm.
If payment has not been received prior to the training date as scheduled and a
cancellation or rescheduling has not been received within the time frame as
mentioned, above, clients will still be liable to make full payment for the time that has been scheduled. If client’s wish to reschedule for another date, an additional cost of 75% of the value of the course will be charged for the reschedule.
In the event of a course requiring rescheduling due to instructor or student illness or, the cost of the course will be offered as either a refunded in full, or alternatively placed into credit and rescheduled at a later date. Please note, a medical certificate will be required prior to any refund provided for illnesses.
Overdue Invoices:
If payment is not made on time, Beck’s Transport Training reserves the right to charge a late fee. Any invoice overdue by up to 10 days past the date of the invoice will incur a 3% late fee. Any account overdue by 30 days may be passed over to our Credit Management Company, where additional charges may be levied against the debt.
Unsuccessful Assessment:
If a student is unsuccessful in completing their assessment, if they wish to complete their re-test with Beck's Transport Training an additional costs will be applied for any additional training or a retest for assessment only.
Student/Client Responsibility:
Students/clients are responsible to ensure that they are ready to participate in training. This includes making sure they are prepared with any paperwork that is required and they are legally able to drive a heavy vehicle. Copies of the client’s knowledge test or learner logbook and licence is to be sent to Beck’s Transport Training a minimum 48 hours prior to the scheduled training date to be able to proceed with a booking.
Students/clients who are providing their own vehicle have the responsibility to ensure the vehicle they are supplying is roadworthy, holds current registration and meets the requirements such as the correct vehicle for the licence upgrade and is a minimum 75% loaded for the training and assessment.
Fines and Fees:
All students who attend training with Beck’s Transport Training are responsible for any fines incurred whilst driving a vehicle. Any fees associated with that fine will be payable by the student. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that whilst driving, they do so in accordance with Australian Laws and regulations.
Damage to Vehicle:
Students are responsible for any charge levied by a supplier in respect of any damage caused to a vehicle as a direct result of your training or assessment. In all cases the trainer of the vehicle will have the discretion to stop the vehicle and disembark students engaging in unacceptable or unruly behaviour.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted on any vehicle supplied by Beck’s Transport Training.
